when is a good time to move a bamboo?m

In June, I put in bambusa malingensis(15gallon pot, was about 3-4 feet tall at the time of purchase) in my yard.

Now, the culms are still coming in, new ones are about 6'tall.

Turns out I need to move this bamboo from the location it is in and split it to fit it into two really large containers. I have a fence going up and it's right in the path(not something in our plans a few months ago!). I have electricity wires in the rest of the yard so nowhere else to put in the ground:(

How can I move and when should I dig it up to give us the best chance for success?

THanks!
