How invasive is Phyllostachys Nigra in shade under trees?

I have a pretty large area in the back lot of my yard with really tall oak and tulip trees. I am thinking about putting in some Phyllostachys Nigra there for privacy, bamboo shoots and also bamboo poles for building things. The area is about 30 feet by 30 feet. It gets full sun when the tall trees have no leaves and filtered shade any other time. The soil is medium clay with lots of organic matter with all the leaves as mulch. I don't plan to put down barrier but I will do root pruning. How fast will nigra spread in this situation? I am in zone 7 but because of the shade, the temperature is significantly lower near the house. One of my neighbors has a bamboo forest growing in his backyard and it doesn't seem to have gone entirely crazy. I don't see bamboos popping up in his neighbors yard.
