I have noticed a few culms with what is identified in Whittakers book as a witches broom. I cut off several of the bigger culms with it but I now notices 4 or 5 other smaller culms with the same leaf structure. Has anyone else dealt with this problem? I read that it is not a big health problem for the bamboo, but it is rather ugly. What else should I do? My aurea is about 5 years old and is planted in partial shade (It was my first bamboo, from Lowe's and it said "sun or shade")
