fall planting

Hi,
I've been offered a bunch of clumping bamboo for free but the catch is I have to get it now (early November, eastern PA). I was planning on buying and planting in the spring but I'm pretty tempted. Would it be a waste of time to attempt to transplant now?

Definitely not a waste of time. Be careful to not let the roots/rhizomes dry out from digging to replanting and dig as large of a rootball as possible and you will be set for next Spring.

Just don't dig and transplant on a below freezing day.
