Can I not post pictures on this forum? How do I make them show, if its possible?

Hard to tell from these photos. Are there compressed nodes at the bottom of some of the culms? What is the largest diameter of the culms?

Here is a picture. They look awfully different! Maybe there are two different kinds? The biggest ones canes are about 2-2.5"

I took the picture of the base and started looking at bamboo pics and I found one exactly like it! Its a P aurea. Thanks for to those who responded, you helped me find it. ;)

There are some others that have similar compressed nodes, but P. aurea is the most common.

Also, as in the photo above, the culms won't all have the compressed nodes,...only some of them.
