Could it be bamboo rhizomes?

I am having trouble identifying these roots that are everywhere in our beds. I think it may be bamboo, but I wanted to get an opinion from those in the know. :->

What do you think?

I appreciate any help with this. I'm at my wit's end with these roots, rhizomes, whatever they are!

I don't think so. It looks like roots from a tree.

Bamboo rhizomes have 'sections' or segments in them just like the above ground culms.

If you can post a close-up of the root, it would be easier to tell for sure.

They are definitely not notched. I just took these, though with an iphone, so they aren't that good:

Definitely not bamboo rhizomes. It still looks like roots from a tree, which may be dozens of feet away.

I'll see if I can find some pics of a typical bamboo rhizome and post it here.
