First Banana Trees

Ordered from Greenearth Pub. Monday the 18th and received my bananas this morning. These are my first Banana trees and wanted to share with the forum. I uploaded the photos to photobucket: http://s750.photobucket.com/albums/xx141/gardening_wi/
I couldn't seem to paste a photo within this post.
Super excited to get them in their pots. I set them in the sun (even though it's -5 here) in my south facing window until I pot them up this afternoon. I have a Margarita, Siam Ruby and a Dwarf Cavendish. Impressed with the packaging and the plants. Their leaves are a little discolored but from what I have read that is to be expected. Check out the pictures and let me know what you think!

I'm curious to see what others have to say about your bananas. I've never purchased one on line. Wonder if that's what they're supposed to look like.

Btw, to post a picture you need to copy and paste the html code from photobucket.

Good luck with your bananas and keep us posted on how they do. :)

thanks for the picture tip - I will try that next time.
I will post pictures of how they look after a couple weeks. Hopefully they will be OK.

Hi and good luck! A friend of mine has a Siam Ruby. Keep it very warm, a little humid too, and don't give it much water. A little water every 2-3 weeks is all right in winter but more than that could cause corm-rot. You will lose those leaves but new ones will grow so your safe on that.
