How much does 'Bordelon' multiply?

I just ordered a Bordelon banana plant to plant behind my house for the purpose of providing some afternoon shade to my a/c unit (I also liked the red coloring). I'd like to know how much these multiply? The only ones I have experience with are the old fashioned huge ones (basjoo?) that will almost take over down here.

Bordelon will almost take over down there too. But it's pretty. The ones I put in the ground here over the summer in Indiana usually get 4-5 pups over the summer season. If you can leave it in the ground and you get 4-5 pups each season, you're gonna have plenty for sure. They get about 12 feet tall here.

Hmm, the 12ft part sounds good but I may need to dig them up yearly to keep them in check.

I bought a house once with the old basjoos and the clump was so huge the only way to get it up was with a tractor, probably 10x10ft.
