I bought a banana plant from K-mart. I think it's a Cavendish. The stem was oozing some liquid that had a bad odor. I didn't think too much of it and took it home and planted it in the garden three weeks ago. When I read it was a kind of fungus, I'm kind of worried. What should I do with it. Should I destroy it and will it spready the fungus to the other banana plants (if it has not already done so)? Your advice is appreciated.
