I got three Basjoo plants last year. Two I put in the ground and 1 in a pot. Of course the ones in the ground got the biggest (despite our non-existant summer). I moved the potted one in before the 1st frost and it has done quite well in a north-west facing window getting a few hours of direct morning sun. Even a few of the pups thaT I had cut down in late summer have come back. It is pushing up about 1 leaf every two weeks and has a total of 6 leaves and has about three feet of trunk. Is there any chance that if you add up that kind of head start on the 2010 growing season with a warm summer (it can't be two strait crap summers I would think) that if put in the ground in May that I could get it to flower. I heard it needs about 20-30 leaves.
thank you,
Andy
