Plant them at the same time as tomatoes and annuals. Frost will fry the leaves, so it's best to be safe and give them a good start to the growing season

Topher wow arkansas I lived most of my life in St.Louis and did a lot of float trips down in the ozarks even made it to arkansas once beautiful state! I beleive I was somewhere near the boston? mountains floated on the buffalo river,anyway I would think your good by mid april down there I know in st.louis it was tempting to plant my bananas in april but may was more realistic only in very unusual years was early may to early as last frost was typically mid april that said I would think mid april in ark,good luck!

Put them out when you're sure temps will stay above 30 degrees. Provide frost protection until Spring. That way, you can get more growing time. I have 14 psuedostems in my back garden now. They all continue to push leaves (although very slowly). I keep cutting them off smooth each time a frost bites the leaves. Amazing...it never fails...temps the following day can be in the low 50s, but the leaves always start coming back out. You can notice movement on them within 24hrs.
