I am VERY new to this. I just bought a little Dwarf Red plant. It is about 6 inches tall. I planted it in an 8 inch pot with 3 parts miracle grow and 1 part sand. I live in Asheville, NC. The temperature, right now, tends to be upper 40s to upper 50s during the day, and upper 20s to lower 30s during the night. I am bringing it in during the nights. Questions: How often do I water it? How often do I fertilize it? Which fertilizer do I use? I've read 10-10-10; I've read 6-2-12. Do I top off the pot with mulch? What kind of mulch?
