Dwarf raja or siam

Hello, I am pretty new to bananas.

I have someone giving me a little pup only a few inches tall. They said it is either a dwarf raja or siam..they are sure for certain which it is.

I live in a zone 5 so this will have to stay in a pot and be brought in the house in winter. So my question is this...

Will either of these bare fruit if kept in a pot? I would love to have it fruit if its possible..what kind of conditions would I need to give it?

So you mean Siam Ruby? If so, that one is not hardy at all. I even have trouble with it in Zn 9 it hates cold. Raja Puri on the other hand is hardier but still needs protection in your zone. If you don't have a greenhouse you will have to overwinter it in your house or another place that stays about freezing. Siam Ruby is obvious to tell what it is by the reddish leaves. They will both produce edible fruit. Raja Puri is easier to fruit in a pot.
