Banana tree help

I live in Florida but this is my first attempt to grow bananas. I have a tree I planted about two years ago. This is the first time I've had a stem appear. However, as each bract has shed and flowers appeared, the flowers dried up and fell. There is no sign of fruit developing. What have I done wrong?

Did the plant look healthy ? Bananas are easy in Fl. Fertilizer LOTS of water, sun and well draining soil they dont like wet feet. What type is it. Not all bananas will produce good fruit. If it doesn't make fruit cut it down and let the pups grow.
