Did my bananas survive

Hope I didn't get your hopes up. I took them out of storage. I stored the stems according to Frank's tutorial on bananas.org and other boards, except I stored them in my unheated Pittsburgh garage, covered loosely by a tarp on top of one of my work benches. I stored 3 in pots, 1 underneath the tarp, 1 in the garage uncovered, and 1 in the basement with no water, no natural light. The one from the basement is still alive. That's it, I think.

I uncovered the pseudostems and they had a lot of white mold on them and were extremely mushy. I tossed the smallest one b/c it folded over my hand. One I cut about a foot from the roots to see if I could see anything, just a pencil head sized piece of white tissue. The other 2, the larger 2, I did nothing to in case I could save them.

Anybody think there's any hope?
