Growing a Banana in the house question!!!

If you grow a Banana plant(Musa Basjoo) in the house, how much water should you give it? I heard that they don't need as much water when growing them in the house. Is that true? I just bought it today and it is a really healthy looking plant. I have high ceilings and lots of light. Thank you!!! Diana Beaulieu

Yes, they are much more prone to root rot inside because it's not as hot and bright as outside. Are you planning to put it outside eventually? They don't make very good long term houseplants.

A friend of mine, has had hers in the house for 3 years and it is just beautiful. She is starting to grow bananas on hers too!!! Diana55
