Has anyone grown a Gran Nain Sumantrana X and has story or a picture to share? I would like to know how tall it grows and its growth habit generally. I bought a Gran Nain last summer. It really didn't grow much, but began pupping shortly. Before long, the mother plant died off. Now I have two of her pups and they're only 2 ft tall--very slow growth rate. My other bananas are growing normally, so I don't think I'm mistreating them. I read somewhere that sometimes the mother plant dies off to give room to the pups, but this doesn't make much sense to me at all. So, I really want to find out what its growth habit is. I got the Gran Nain Sumantrana X because I just love its red leaves. It really is a beautiful plant, but I'm hoping that it will grow beautifully too. Any advice?
