This is San Jose. Blown over about 6 weeks ago in the high winds. As long at the flower stem has any connection to the bunch, it will be fine. That most of the leaves are still green after 6 weeks is a good indication that everything is good. Hot weather this coming week my induce ripening.

Look at those beauties! Are they still ripening? Will they get fuller and rounder? How are they now?

They are still there after 8-9 weeks. They are just beginning to lighten in color, so should ripen in a couple weeks, or a little longer. These seem to take their sweet time ripening (no un intended). These are San Jose from Costa Rica, and while they look like a plantain or an Oriniocco, they are very much an eating or dessert banana. However, they do retain their very anguar shape when ripe.
