I would wait untill the night temps are consistently 55 or over. I kinda thought that we were home free also... now we are expecting 4 inches of snow, 2 are already on the ground.

Boy, is that ever true! Normally, my bananas would be hauled out of dormancy and replanted. Ready to be positioned on the south side of the house (black plastic pots help with heat). This year is freaky COLD in the North East. I don't put mine out until days are about 60 or better with night minimums around 50. Just as important, however, is the moisture. If it is excessively wet but mild, newly started bananas will be prone to rotting as well. Right now I have COLD and WET so bananas are still sleeping.
