Had to cut top off due to frost, will it survive?

I had a Musa Red (I think) growing indoors, and I stupidly took it out early spring when it was unusually warm outside. Over night there were spells of cold weather though, but it never reached freezing. Even so, my Musa Red's leaves all withered, and I was left with a trunk and no leaves. I decided to cut the leaves off and see what would happen. No sign of any new growth on the plant a few weeks later, so I cut off the top of the trunk as the plant seemed to be going a bit discolored at the top. I have decided to take the plant back inside until later in the spring. Will the plant survive?

Thanks,

Joseph
