indoor banana question

rhynno

Hi all,

I bought an indoor banana (no clue which variety. It's just a little under two feet high) late last year. I potted it up into a 10 or 12" pot I think (I'm at the office and can't check lol). For some reason one of its top leaves formed a little weird (it tried to unfold when it was half grown and ripped itself) and the main plant stopped producing new leaves. Instead, it made two pups which are now about 10 inches high and nice and full. I'm thinking about repotting the pups on their own because they're kind of cramped in the mother plant's pot.

My question is, what to do with the mother plant? It's starting to yellow. I think I may keep it in its pot and hope for more pups...?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Ryan
