growing from musa rhizome

I purchased a musa banana tree plant last year and planted it in the ground. I dug it up in the fall and cut it back to about a foot above the bulb. I replanted it about three weeks ago but don't see any growth yet. Do they sprout slowly? We have been having a cooler than normal spring so far, wonder if that is it? It did not appear rotten when I planted it, so I think it stored okay. Suggestions??

It should start to grow once it warms up in your area. Give it some time, plus fertilizer and water.
