Hate to say it though, may not be the proper way, but I love the look of larger mats than a smaller mat.

I like the size of that mat. I have a narrow bed (24" wide) along a fence and this control is just what I need.

It is planted with Ice Cream in the low end, Goldfinger in the center, and Dwarf Orinoco in the higher end anticipating the tops to be level or sloping against the grade

I'm sure that in about 5 years I'll need to pull the big mats out and replant pups but it softens the harshness of the concrete block wall where it meets my driveway.
