should an ice cream banana have red coloring on leaves?

I recently bought an ice cream banana that has some dark red coloring on a new leaf. I am new to bananas but thought the leaves on this type should be all green.

We had some high 90's heat here on the last few days of shipping so the original leaves are a little burnt making it hard to tell if there is any red coloring on those leaves. Is this really an ice cream banana?

I will try to post a pic tonight.

thanks for any help

pretty sure they are solid green. Cavendish bananas have red splotches on them.

I have an ice cream although small it only has solid bluish green leaves.

Here is a link that might be useful: wiki blue Java(ice Cream) banana link

Thanks for the responses. I was having issues trying to post a picture.

The latest leaf that emerged has even more red on it so I don't think I got an ice cream.

Thanks for the help

Is it red across the leaf kind of like blotches or is the red circling the leaf and in the stem?

nope ice cream doesn't have any red splotches, even when they're young plants. probably a dwarf cavendish type .
