Got a bit of a weird question for you all

Long story short, I'm moving in a very few weeks and I'm taking all of my landscaping plants with me. As part of that move, I have had a really good garden helper come in and help dig up and containerize all of my landscaping plants. As part of separating and potting up 5 very large Musa Basjoos that was in one clump I've got a piece of corm with some pretty healthy roots on it. I want to see if any of you have ever coaxed pups out of a piece like this? I am thinking it may be a worthy experiment. And if you did this, how did you encourage the pup production? Ideas and thoughts?
