Dwarf Cavendish Last Summer

Hi, I just wanted to show you my 2 bananas which died last winter, it was November or December much before any snow :( They looked great in summer but went completely black in winter. I guess i have no chance of growing them in a 8b keeping them outside.. ?? however they grow so fast there comes a point when i can't bring them in the garage as they are too high. Any advice? should i buy new ones this summer or just give it up?

don't give up, try new ways of protection, storage, or bringing it indoors,lol, but if you really want to grow find away. You could do what ido with my largest one, icut it back to a manageble point then store it under house by putting it in a grocery bag with a little slit for ventilation

I have mine in a nice big ceramic pot on the patio. When winter comes, I bring it in and sit it in front of a sunny window until spring. Dig up, don't _give_ up!

The dwarf cavendish really don't like to go under about 45f. Even the slightest frost can kill them.
