Help With New Banana Plant

I had been thinking of getting a banana plant for a while as a hobby. I purchased this banana plant at a local nursery and re-potted it. It seems to be doing quite well, and I have a few question about it. First off, Does anyone know what type of banana plant this is? From my research I think it is a Dwarf Cavendish but I'm not too sure. Second I can't seem to figure out why the edges of the leaves are turning brown. Am I doing something wrong that's causing this? I looked the plant over throughly and could not find any insects that could be causing this and it does not appear to be a fungus or disease. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It looks normal. The brown edges can be a sign of underwatering, but usually they are just a sign that it is an older leaf (think grey hair and wrinkles).

It looks like it is trying to adapt to the sun. I would watch the new leaves coming out, and if they seem fine, then thats what it is. Yes, I think it is a Dwarf, but they can get pretty big too. You should see mine. It's hugh!!! I wish I could post you a pic, but my camera is broken. Diana55

I'd say cavendish as well. It does like just a little bit rough for a newly purchased plant. With plenty of water, sun and fert, it'll grow fast.
