The Banana Mystery

I have been gardening for years & have tried just about everything in our great California weather.

But Bananas are new to me. I am looking for a good old yellow fruit bearing variety. Could someone steer me in the right diection. What name, & where to get.

Goldfinger would be an excellent choice, in a taller plant, or a Cavendish variety if shorter plant is desired. A dwarf Namwah would be a better producer and better tasting in short variety, but is not "a plain ol' banana:".

If you are close to San Diego, I have plants, and you can see them full size in ground.
