I just purchased a banana plant from Lowes yesterday for planting into my yard. When I looked at the plant ID tag stuck in the soil it said it was a Normal Orinoco and could grow up to 20'. When I put it in the ground I noticed that the bar code on the side of the pot said it was a dwarf Orinoco. So how do I know which one it really is? Has anyone else had this problem? The trunk is already at 4' and the newest leaf is taller then me. The trunk is fairly thin also. I can't imagine this plant getting only a couple more feet and be done. Its such a fast grower.
