I had some in pots that died back to the corm, and now look beautiful and healthy again. The ones in pots seemed more sensitive to the cold that the in-ground ones. See:

lol - actually it really was a "hard winter", at least for 3 days or so. Below 32 degress by around 9 or 10 at night, low temp at 4-5 am of 21 degrees. High temp during the day in the upper 40's maybe low 50's. I think the paper said there 80 or so calls to our towns water dept for frozen or burst pipes. Out pipes froze but I thawed them out with a microwave heated wet towel (dont ask where I go tthe water).
