Musa Basjoo finally bearing fruit in Montreal

Finally after 4 years in the ground my banana tree is ready to bear fruit and flowers. Very exited about this as I will be the first person this far north to achieve this. See pics in most recent photo gallery

Congrats! I didn't realize that there were areas of Canada that one could plant a banana plant outdoors, cool =) I had fun bragging that I was likely the only one in the state of Iowa with fresh home grown bananas last year. I keep my plant indoors because it is too heavy and large to move outside and it gets too cold to keep it out there for very long anyway.
