I have never seen or heard of a red with white variegated banana. Can only imagine that it must be pretty awesome! I have the Musa acuminata ssp. zebrina but it is just red and green, still beautiful though.
Where in KY do you live, if you don't mind me asking. I grew up in Western KY, about an hour south of Paducah myself. Have been in the Houston, TX area for 4 years now. Great for growing tropicals even though we do have to contend w/ a bit of cool weather.

It's probably his new pet "Siam Ruby". He said a few of the tc's have turned out a little different than the originals, they are usually red with a few light green flecks. Maybe he showed you one of the sports.

Yes they are light green instead of white. Must have been a brain malfunction. I saw them again today and they have green variegation. Sorry about that. They are very pretty though. There is a lot of variation between different plants, but they are still small and a lot can change with a little more time.
