| I am in zone 9 also. I just started growing bananas. How long did it take for your bananas to get that size? |
| The Ice Cream and Dwarf Brazilian were from tissue culture plantlets and took about 3 years before blooming. In the rightmost of the first pic is my clump of California Gold which took only a year to grow big and bloom from a pup. |

| joereal, I am growing a dwarf brazilian for the first time that I received as a pup from a co-worker. I planted it in the ground in Feb-Mar and it is growing about one large leaf a week now. Can I expect this pup to produce this year? I am in zone 10 (Southern California). |
| It should bloom next year, but really depends on size and age of pup. |
