It's a very pretty banana, less cold tolerant than a bordelon, to which it looks similar. Supposedly it can get an edible fruit from it's gran nain heritage. I haven't fruited one yet. It will take more watering than a palm tree would. It's a fast grower and will clump quickly, but not quite as quick as the bordelon. The bordelon wouldn't get edible fruit though.
