I don't think anything looks wrong with your banana. Somebody might of just bumped the bottom leaves and it kinked them. My bottom banana leaves will do that if it's windy and the wind knocks them around.

yes but noone bumpted this leaf. it just went like that by itself during the day (windows closed - no wind). but maybe i shouldn`t worry about that. thanks for reply

Yes, that is normal for the bottom leaves to die off. It should start to turn yellow and die. You have nothing to worry about!!! Thats what Banana's do!!! Your plant looks good and healthy!!! Diana55

I don't think you have any thing to worry about. Banana leaves will brown and die off.That is how the Banana grows taller and reproduces pups. As long as the new leaves are healthy looking, that is all that matters.Your plant looks as healthy as a horse!!!LOL Your Banana plant will flower!!! Diana55

pajonk - sorry to say but your banana will not bloom under those conditions. In a pot... a much much larger pot, it's possible. But not indoors.

yeah but now it got soooo big that i will have problems with taking it outdoors:)) maybe next year i will try to put it in soil in the garden. thank you one more time - thanks for good information diana!!

Hey thats not true, I had one banana that flowered inside, but I have really high ceilings. It was in a big pot too!!! They usually don't though. I would put it outside when it gets too big. Mooney is right, they seem to do better in the ground!!! Diana55
