Soil?

I'm a first time banana grower. In fact, I JUST got my 2 banana plants today! Of course, the first thing I did was repot them into large pots full of Miracle-Gro Potting Soil! I couldn't find much info on this site about the kind of soil to use. But, I'm scared to crap that I'm going to kill my banana plants or severely inhibit their growth. Maybe tomorrow I'll remove the Miracle-Gro and do it the old fashioned way. What have you guys used for your banana plants? What has been most successful? Has anyone tried Miracle-Gro Potting Soil?

Miracle gro potting soil will work just fine, especially this time of the year. If they're real small, watch out that you don't overwater them too many times. Put them in a shaded area outdoors after repotting them for a week or so and then gradually move them into more sun.
My favorite banana soil is promix hp. My favorite winter potting mix is biocomp organic winter mix, coarse and well draining.
