Purple/brown splotches on musa leaves.

Hi. I know I've been posting here a lot lately, but it's just that I'm going through a banana phase right now :)

I'm wondering what's with the purple splotches on some banana's leaves (not mine). Is it because of variety or is it an indicator of poor/good care? Is it an indicator of plant's age?

I have a potted Super Dwarf Cavendish and it has not got any purple splotches on its leaves, some purple-brownish have appeared only on leaves that had just uncurled but they seem to disappear rather quickly and there's very little of those splotches... Water pups also seemed not to have them...

I'm sure you know what I'm talking about, but just in case, here's a picture of those splotches (picture found on the internet):

Now my plant:

When I see bananas for sale (they look like Super Dwarf Cavs to me) they have the splotches. Have mistaken identifying either my plant's variety, either the plants' variety that have the splotches?

Is my plant lacking something?
