Do some bananas stall over 100 degrees?

Hi,

I have a few bananas and noticed that after about a month or so of consistent 95 to 100+ degree days my goldfinger didn't put out a single new leaf, and had some leaves that got pretty crisped. Over the last week or so of more normal temps the one leaf that had been just sitting there finally popped up and looks to be opening. My ice cream / apple bananas that are located in the same area didn't seem to mind the heat at all, no burnt leaves and tons of new growth. Just curious if this is normal or maybe something else was going on - I have seen a gopher in our yard recently, but haven't seen any sign that he was near the nanners.
