How to store Musa Basjoo?

Hi everyone. How exactly should I store my Musa basjoo inside this winter? Also, there's three pups about three inches tall. I know its not now, but when should I remove them from the mother plant? When I dig it up or sooner? I'd like to pot them up over the winter to get a head start for spring.

you can leave the pups attached

i dig up mine right before a light frost is expected. i trim off all but the newest leaf, stick the rootball into a large plastic pot and fill in with peat moss. into the garage it goes, no real light, stays above freezing overwinter.

it grows very quickly indoors in warmth, i find that 6 weeks is plenty of time for a headstart, take the plant and pot, water it and find a warm bright spot and watch it take off.

basjoos are pretty tough and take the abuse without problems.
