your post has been up three days with no answer. I guess that everyone wonders why you want to try this. I would think that it would confuse the plant and probably make it grow at a strange angle. Since it will get cold around November in North Carolina you will have to have the heat to it to continue growth. The sad part is that if it's that size it will probably put out fruit of which will be useless in an 8 foot greenhouse if it's 15 feet tall. You may as well dig it the end of October, bag the corm and store under your house and hope it doesn't fruit till you have a number of new leaves the middle of April when you re-plant it. One that size has a great chance to be useless come April. If it doesn't fruit over winter then it will probably do it when you only have one or two leaves in the spring. You then have fruit (which can be nice if you have never had fruit) but you will have a plant that basically looks naked.
