I am still waiting for mine to fruit. It is doing very well, but nothing yet.....I will post if it ever fruits.

Is there a way for someone who is in zone 8a border 8b(like myself) to have fruits?Or is he doomed to loose the main plant every winter?(I bring mine inside but everytime the main stalk dies leaving me with only the pups...) :-(

Take heart, my SDC has finally set a flower. After 4 long years and wondering if it would ever fruit, this morning I noticed the flower nub poking out if the center of the plant. I have removed tons of pups and wondered if that was all this plant was going to produce. But lo and behold, looks like it's gonna make a banana!

I grow in a warm greenhouse in New Jersey and the plant was outside on my deck until last week. There were several rather cool nights before I brought it in that had me a bit concerned, but I guess it was not a problem.

Now I only hope that it completes it's cycle and actually grows some bananas. So excited.
