Finally, after 1.5 years.

I haven't been looking up there for a few weeks, and yesterday saw some reddish/purplish leaves on the ground. At first, I thought, hmmm, never seen these leaves before. Then it dawned on me, they must have come from a florescence. Looked up, and voila! This type of banana is very tasty, got the plant from my cousin's yard. They were about 3' tall, and now they're at least 10' with many smaller plants round the main one. I was told to cut down the plant after harvesting, right? How long will it take from this stage to harvest?

Thanks,

Congragulations! Looks healthy. It will probably take about 3-4 months before the fruit ripens, but its worth the wait!
