Strelitzia ravaged by parrot

I'm posting here because i herd that Strelitzia (bird of paradise) are a species, so on with the question, a newly aquired Strelitzia was ravaged by my mums love bird it took 2 leaves off and tore holes in the rest luckily it hasn't flowered yet i was wondering if the leaves will grow back likw on some plants or will they be stumps??

:) i meant the plant bird of paradise basically i heard that it's a banana relative so if any banana growers could tell me if banana leaves grow back then that would be helpful.

p.s thats a nice parrot :)

The leaves will not regenerate but new ones will grow from the base.
