I second that! Very impressive. The bananas are huge and all the other tropicals around the base of the bananas are very colorful! That should be in a garden magazine.

Josh_Palm_Crazy,

There is a substantial conflict of pictured Troppicanna Gold flower descriptions here: http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/load/canna/msg0700472120184.html?13 052

Where did you get your "Tropicanna Gold"? (because I like it more)

Are you sure you don't live in FLORIDA! Guess not, I can't get them to look that good down here ;-)

Thanks so much everyone!!!

I got the Tropicanna Gold at Lowe's. The tag said "Tropicanna Gold". I'm pretty sure the canna in the picture that struwwelpeter posted is just another form of tropicanna gold on the left. The one on the right looks like pretoria. Pretoria has a purple stem above the leafs. I am by no means a canna expert. I totally might be thinking of a different kind.

Thank you. You may, for all I know, have a valuable sport.

If you want to trade rhizomes next spring, I can offer C.
Durban, C. Pink Sunburst, C. Tropicanna, C. Pretoria, M. Sikkimensis and M. Basjoo. I won't be insulted if you ask for three in trade.

Awesome pictures--very rich garden colors. I thought you were in FL too. You've made very good of the space you have. I like that your little guy is enthusiastic in what you're doing. My 11-year old knows the names of most of my plants. Most of all, it's fun to be able to touch the tip of your banana leaves from the window! Do you overwinter most of your plants, or do these plants come back after the freeze?
