Awesome! Didn't know it was possible to fruit such a large variety in a container!

Have the plants been growing in pots their entire lives? I didn't realize they could be so big and huge while growing in pots. That's encouraging for us in northern climates.

Congrats!! I think this is very impressive! Hmmm... now I want an ice cream banana! I too agree that it's very inspiring and encouraging for those of us who suffers from 'zone denial'! What (if any) kind of fertilizer did you use? Soil mix?

may be too late but do not cut the flower until the raceme gets about 12 inches past the last hand or else the fruit on the end will dry out

I am new to growing bananas, what is a raceme? My plants: Dwf Cavandish, Dwf Orinoco, Manzano, Raja Puri and Ice Cream are all less than 12 inches high and have been in my care about 1 month. They are currently on a table in front of French doors, with the thermostat at 60F. I will be adding 4 lamps for extra heat and light.

The raceme is the part of the fruit stalk that has no fruit on it...after it produces so many hands of bananas, it then stops producing hands of bananas, that is the raceme. I guess you can say the entire fruiting stem is the raceme, but it is the non fruiting part of the fruit stem that is the part they are asking about cutting off.
