Is Sikkimensis really a Basjoo substitute?

I have read alot of sales pitches which are representing Musa Sikkimensis as being "almost" or "possibly as" cold hardy as Basjoo. I personally find this possibility intriguing, but unlikely. I've seen Basjoos survive in zone 5b without any winter treatment. What's the coldest zone anyone here has seen Sikkimensis overwinter outdoors in? I'd appreciate any input; I'm thinking of growing some but don't need another plant to bring inside.
