Banana with 3 fruit stalks per plant

A friend just gave me a banana plant that she said was called "triangulo" or " Tripleta" or something Spanish having to do with 3. She said her neighbor gave it to her and when she grew it, it made 3 stalks full of bananas. Anyone hear of it or have a name?

Well I have heard of and grown the 'Double' banana variety, and it takes usually 2 years to get the 2 fruit stems to be produced by the banana. The first time it fruits, it puts out a single stalk of fruit, then the new pups will put out double stalks...but triple? I think she just got lucky and maybe her 'Double' just split off an extra stem and that 3rd stem probably only had a few bananas on it. Unless you saw it or have seen pictures of it? If so..can we see it?
