 o
Clearance Rescue...

Found this guy for 3$ on my trip I took a week ago. It appeared that it had red and green variegation and the tag says musa super dwarf banana. I pulled it up and seen some nice healthy roots still attached, so I took a chance. Now who wants to start the bet, will it die, will it pup, will it sprout a new leaf...

I'd cut it way down and then I'm sure it will pup....

I agree with Christine, cut it down but put it outside if you want growth.

Yes its sitting on a battery, trying to revive my friends scooter batteries....and that location is the best for pics :P

I will grab the pruners and wack it down, I have it wicked so I won't have to worry about under/over watering it...

I would also make sure the soil isn't too heavy and wet. Moist is good, but if the soil is too heavy, you can add perlite to get some oxygen to the roots.
