I know the 4 good-sized pups growing in perfect symmetry around my basjoo are slowing the growth some from the mother plant, but I'm more interested in the "full" look anyway, so it's no big deal. Still...might it be a little late now to excise one of these suckers, and pot it up for next Spring? Or just wait till next year. Mother plant is about 7 feet tall, and all pups are 2 to 4 feet in height. 2nd summer in the ground for this guy, and it really took off. I expect next year's growth to be even better, but I'm still a little worried about messing with it. Paranoia?
