I am sort of surprised to hear it hasn't produced fruit because I heard dwarf cavendish are supposed to be easy to fruit. I have three of them but this is the first year... I was hoping to get fruit next summer.

First off, I want to clarify. You said that your banana is three quarters of a foot high? Even for a dwarf, that is too small to fruit under normal conditions or any condition that I can think of. Secondly, do you have this plant in a pot? If so, you would have much better luck planting it in the ground and letting it grow bigger. Before the first frost, just dig up the plant and store it for the winter in a cool, dark and dry enviroment with no water or fertilizer, unpotted. Replant in the spring when frost danger has past.

I think he meant 3/4 to be 3 or 4 feet tall.

sorry i did mean 3 to 4 foot tall, i do have it in a pot...

you think if next year i will put it in the ground, it might bear fruit? that would be great...

Letting the banana plant grow in the ground will allow it to grow much faster than in a pot. This will increase your odds of getting a banana plant to fruit. A pot will take a very long time if you do not have a greenhouse with heat, humidity and plenty of sunlight.
